The Weir is an on-going project and the goal is to restore the weir area back to its natural environment. The Pine Lake Restoration Society (PLRS) has done many things to ensure that the area remains natural as work is done on the lake. The installment of Mature Aspen trees planted and general landscaping, re-covering the pipe where it had risen above ground and re-seeding grassy areas and encouraging bird nesting in weir area by returning it to its natural state by minimizing mowing.
Along with the weir area being restored, there also have been several down stream projects that have been completed.
Projects like: Power into sheds for future aeration to settling ponds, repair to damns down stream of the weir, working with more settling ponds potential needs.
